About CredentialDesk

A lapsed license is not a paperwork problem. It's the difference between working and not working, for a nurse, a real estate agent, a contractor, a CPA. State boards send a postcard, or nothing at all, and the burden of tracking a renewal cycle plus a CE requirement falls entirely on the licensee.

CredentialDesk answers the two questions that come first. What does my board actually require, and by when? Pick your profession and your state, and you get the CE hours, the renewal cycle, the fee, and the board's own page, with the date we last checked it. No account, no email, nothing to sign up for. You read it and you go.

We used to also offer to email you before your deadline. We took that out on purpose. Promising to remind a nurse or a CPA before their license lapses is a promise you have to keep perfectly, forever, and a single missed send lands on someone's ability to work. A reference that is right and honest about what it doesn't know is worth more than a reminder that might not arrive.

What we are not

We don't sell continuing education courses. We're not Elite Learning, not Kaplan, not a CE seller with a content marketing arm. When we point you to a course provider, it's because that provider commonly serves your profession, not because they paid for the placement. We're also not your state board. We don't process renewals, we don't issue licenses, and nothing here is a substitute for checking your board's own site before a deadline. That's why every figure we publish links straight back to it.

Who runs this

CredentialDesk is published by a small independent team, not by a board, a school, or a course provider. Requirement data is sourced from official state boards, cited and dated on every page. Corrections are welcome at hello@credentialdesk.com, and we would rather hear about a mistake than let someone rely on it.
